## Terminology

- **Verified** — the operators have independently checked the service's claims (KYC policy, published policies, working front end, payment methods). A superset of Listed.
- **Listed** — the service is in the directory with its details published, but has not been independently checked yet. Most entries start here.
- **Scam** — the service has credible reports against it (withheld funds, rotating domains, non-delivery). Kept visible on purpose, as a warning.
- **No KYC** — no identity verification at any stage of normal use.
- **Partial KYC** — usable without ID for basic operations, but verification may be triggered by limits, jurisdiction or specific features.
- **Full KYC** — identity verification is mandatory. Listed for comparison only, never as a recommendation.
- **Unknown KYC** — the service publishes no clear policy.
- **Verified badge** — issued by the KYCless administration only, after their own checks.
- **Escrow badge** — the operator has placed a security deposit with KYCless; the amount is shown on the service's page.
- **Boost badge** — the operator has paid for priority placement in the catalog. Paid placement never changes a KYC level, a status, a review or a vote count.

A listing on KYCless is a description of a third-party service, not a recommendation or an endorsement.
